Hike Sobreiro to Foz do Lizandro Beach

Distance: 11 km

Join us for a beautiful downhill hike through the valleys of the Mafra-Ericeira region, starting in the village of Sobreiro and ending at the lovely Foz do Lizandro Beach. This route takes you through picturesque rural landscapes and requires a short river crossing towards the end - you will likely need to remove your shoes to cross the shallow river.

There are no water fountains or shops along the trail, so please plan to bring at least 1 liter of water and any snacks or lunch you may need. If you prefer, you can purchase your picnic lunch at the café and bakery located at the starting point.

Meeting Point:

• Location: Aldeia Típica parking lot, the quaint and absurd rural life museum known as Aldeia Típica, in the village of Sobreiro.
• Time: 10:00 AM

For those traveling by car, there is ample parking available at the meeting point.

Public Transport Details:

• Bus: Take the 2803 bus from Campo Grande bus station.
• Departure: 8:45 AM
• Travel Time: ~45 minutes
• The trip is free if you have the 40 euro monthly Navegante card

Ending Point:

The hike concludes at Foz do Lizandro Beach - please note this is a 1-way hike, not a loop. From there, you can:

• Walk (or Uber/Bolt) approximately 4 km to Ericeira and take a bus back to Lisbon.
• Opt for a shared Uber/Bolt ride.
