### 🎀 First Talk – 19:00
Title: Gradle: From "It Works" to "I Understand It"
Speaker: AndrΓ© Martins
Summary:
"Gradle is flexible enough to let you do anything β€” including shooting yourself in the foot. In this talk, I’ll share how I approach Gradle with Kotlin DSL after years of building and maintaining Java and Kotlin projects. We’ll cover the core mechanics of Gradle, common pitfalls, and proven patterns for both single-module builds and large monorepos. I’ll also introduce a custom Gradle init setup that I use to bootstrap new projects with clean structure, shared conventions, and performance-aware defaults β€” so you can spend less time fighting your build and more time shipping code."

From simple approaches like retries, idempotence, and circuit breakers, to more complex ones like the saga pattern."
