🎤 Speaker
Title: Single responsibility principle in AI
Speaker: Oleksii Kopylov
Summary: When several services in a fleet need an LLM, the obvious path — each one wiring up the provider SDK itself — scatters API keys, duplicates retry logic, and leaves token spend unattributed. This talk walks through one way to solve that. It isn't a single source of truth or a best-practice checklist: just one approach, its trade-offs, and an open discussion about how you'd solve it differently.

Title: Getting Services to Talk: The Choreography of Sync & Async Messaging
Speaker: Cedric DIMIER & Alexandre Barbary
Summary:
In a modern microservices architecture, choosing between synchronous APIs and asynchronous messaging can have a major impact on scalability, resilience and complexity. Alexandre Barbary and Cédric Dimier will take you behind the scenes of a real-world ecosystem and show how services communicate using APIs, events, message brokers and adapters. They will explore how to handle errors and message ordering, and how observability helps track messages across the different layers of the architecture.

Cedric DIMIER – I'm a Solution Architect at Richemont, specializing in distributed systems and backend architecture across both e-commerce and retail. Passionate about building resilient, decoupled systems, I focus on pragmatic trade-offs between latency, consistency, and complexity. In this session, I will share real-world lessons on when to rely on direct orchestration versus when to let your services dance asynchronously.
Alexandre Barbary - With 10 years at Richemont – starting as a Java Developer and now Technical Team Lead in Unified Commerce – I work alongside architects, product teams, and developers to shape and build scalable microservices solutions. In my talk, "Getting Services to Talk: The Choreography of Sync vs. Async Messaging", I draw on hands-on enterprise experience to break down contract-first APIs, event-driven architectures, and the practical challenges of decoupling systems in production.
