Hi everyone 👋🏼
Whether you’ve been kayaking a few times or want to give it a try, this group is for you!
The goal is to plan a kayaking adventure with a company that provides kayaks and a guide at least twice per month while the weather is nice (approx. April - October). We will explore both beginner and intermediate level routes in and around the Lisbon area.
We will reserve a table at a local restaurant after each ride to have lunch together as a group 🙃

Join the Lisbon Kayak Crew on our next overnight adventure!
We're heading north toward the Coimbra area with up to 10 adventurous crew members for an unforgettable active weekend in and out of the water.
We will head to Coimbra city for a stroll around town and lunch before we head to the starting point of the river activity. Accompanied by expert local guides, we will explore the river Ceira by way of seatrekking - like canyoning, but in the water! The route includes a natural water slide, a gorgeous waterfall, a rope swing, and the opportunity for several jumps into the river (from 2 to 8m). Check out this video for a better idea of what to expect. We will spend the evening relaxing in our common space to have dinner together, play some games, and get to know each other a bit more.
After breakfast the following morning, we will head out on one of the local trails to explore the mountainous surroundings. We will then head over to the beautiful river beach of Fragas de São Simão to enjoy a picnic lunch lounging in the sun and enjoying the crystal clear water before we head back to Lisbon.

After you have pre-paid, you will be invited to the WhatsApp community to better organize details and share pictures etc. throughout the trip.
The minimum number of participants for this event is 5; the maximum is 10. Refunds will be issued if the minimum is not reached. The small group size for this event is intentional to promote a familiar atmosphere.
What's included:
- Private transportation to and from all destinations on the itinerary (incl. car rental, driver, gas, and tolls)
- All necessary organization and equipment for seatrekking (expert guides, wetsuit, dry bags, helmet, life jacket, harness, accident insurance, etc.)
- Bed in shared accommodation with a common space
- Dinner on Saturday
- Breakfast on Sunday
- Picnic lunch on Sunday
- Bottled water

What to bring:
- Swimsuit + towel
- Water shoes or old sneakers (not neoprene, not sandals!)
- Hiking shoes/boots
- Comfortable clothes and shoes
- Personal hygiene items + sunscreen
- Sturdy water bottle
Safety is taken very seriously and there will be certified monitors guiding us throughout the river activity. All participants must be able to swim. At least a moderate level of physical fitness is recommended.

Join the Lisbon Kayak Crew for our final summer adventure!
We are heading back out to the beach for an exciting 3-hour ride including snorkeling sessions, departing from the Portinho da Arrábida. We will paddle along the coast and stop at some beautiful beaches, such as Praia do Coelho, Praia dos Galapinhos, and/or Praia dos Pilotes, as well as the Santa Margarida cave. We will stop for snorkeling around the island of Anixa and/or Praia de Alpertuche.
Whether you're an experienced kayaker, a beginner looking to try something new, or somewhere in between - this event is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels.
Duration: approx. 5 hours total
- 3 hours on the water (incl. breaks)
- 2 hours for a picnic lunch as a group
You are welcome to spend the rest of the afternoon at the beach to hang out and enjoy a beautiful sunset!
Price: €40 per person. This includes:
- kayak rental including life jacket and paddle
- wetsuit and snorkeling gear
- certified monitors to ensure the safety of all participants

What to bring:
- Swimsuit and/or clothes that can get wet
- Water shoes/sandals with straps
- Sunscreen and hat
- Change of clothes, second pair of shoes, and a towel
- Waterproof case for your phone to take pictures along the way
- Picnic lunch and blanket, sun shade
Level: This descent is suitable for beginners and children (10+). Well-behaved dogs welcome.
Basic instructions will be given by the guides before we begin.
The kayak rental company covers personal accident and civil liability insurance at no extra cost. Safety is taken very seriously and there will be certified monitors guiding us along the descent.How to get there:
🚙 : Arrive by 09:30 by car(pool) to the restaurant D'Uportinho.* The main road to Arrábida is closed. There is a small (!) parking lot just before the road blocks here, as well as limited parking on the road. From there, walk 15-20 minutes downhill to the restaurant.
** Public transportation to this location is extremely difficult. Our best bet is to carpool everyone with personal vehicles, worst case shared Uber rides (approx. €25 one-way). If you have space in your car, share your departure point and time so others can join and split costs for gas.
After you have pre-paid, you will be invited to the WhatsApp community to better organize carpooling as well as share pictures and other event-related information.
