Kayaking in Sesimbra

Join the Lisbon Kayak Crew for our upcoming beach adventure!

We are heading out for our first ocean tour of the year for an exciting 3-hour ride departing from the port of Sesimbra. We will paddle past (and through) sea caves and other beautiful geological structures along the coast to reach the secluded, wild beach of Ribeiro do Cavalo where we will stop to swim and have some snacks before we turn back to the starting point.

Whether you're an experienced kayaker, a beginner looking to try something new, or somewhere in between - this event is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels.

Duration: approx. 5 hours in total

• 3 hours on the water (incl. breaks).
• 2 hours for a picnic lunch as a group.

You are welcome to spend the rest of the afternoon at Sesimbra beach with the group to hang out and watch a beautiful sunset!

Price: €30 per person. This includes:

• kayak rental including life jacket and paddle
• certified monitors to ensure the safety of all participants

First come, first served!

What to bring:

• Swimsuit and/or clothes that can get wet
• Shoes/sandals that can get wet
• Sunscreen and hat
• Change of clothes, second pair of shoes, and a towel
• Waterproof case for your phone to take pictures along the way
• Picnic lunch and blanket, sun shade

Level: This descent is suitable for beginners and children (8+). Well-behaved dogs welcome.

Basic instructions will be given by the guides before we begin.

The kayak rental company covers personal accident and civil liability insurance at no extra cost. Safety is taken very seriously and there will be certified monitors guiding us along the descent.

How to get there:
🚙 : Arrive by 09:30 by car(pool) to the port in Sesimbra

🚌 : Bus 3721 leaves from multiple points in Lisbon (e.g., Campolide, Sete Rios) to arrive at Sesimbra Terminal. You can also take bus 3635 from Coina/3545 from Foros de Amora if you live in Margem Sul. Walk or grab a quick Uber to the starting point.

After you have pre-paid, you will be invited to the WhatsApp community to better organize carpooling as well as share pictures and other event-related information.
