Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation. Known as the ancient Indian practice of yogic sleep, a complete relaxation of body and mind, allowing only an inner awareness of the spirit to be discovered and given attention. To serve you. It’s a way to totally relax as you’re guided into meditation to explore the qualities of self-care and self-nourishment. It's a practice that can help improve sleep, relieve stress and increase your energy and creativity.

We often lead busy schedules at work and home, with long to-do lists and responsibilities in all areas of life. Sometimes we crash and need a reset. Yoga Nidra is where it all comes to a standstill, giving yourself the opportunity to recuperate. To integrate a sense of belonging. To feel at home within ourselves by honouring the subtle voice within and creating a loving, cozy feeling of wholeness.

"Yoga Nidra is a horizontal meditation upon the threshold of sleep, a conscious way to rest that invites you to nourish every aspect of yourself. It may look as if absolutely nothing is happening, but the deepest of restoration is occurring." - Uma Dinsmore Tuli PhD

Following an hour of Yoga Nidra, we return to the present moment to reflect on our experience and the week using a guided journaling practice. There's an option to share with the group over a cup of flavourful tea. You can bring your journal or a notebook to write in. Alternatively, paper can be provided.

The half an hour of journaling practice at the end is optional and you may leave immediately following the Yoga Nidra if your time allows just that.

Although this is an advance meditation practice, it's suitable for practitioners of all levels and abilities, if you're willing to stay curious and open to all the possibilities.
