Join me on Tuesday for a journey through the oldest and most fascinating parts of Lisbon!
We'll walk from the grand squares of Baixa into the narrow streets and historic hills of Alfama, discovering how Lisbon developed from a Roman and Moorish settlement into the capital of Portugal.
This tour is different from my Baixa & Chiado tour. Here, we'll focus more on old Lisbon, the Moors, the Reconquista, Portuguese kings, the 1755 earthquake, Fado and the traditional neighborhoods that give Lisbon its unique character.

Along the way, I'll share stories about the Moors who lived here, the Christian conquest of Lisbon, Portuguese kings, the Age of Discoveries, the 1755 earthquake, Fado and the people who have called these neighborhoods home for centuries.
You'll also have some of the best opportunities to enjoy Lisbon's famous viewpoints and take beautiful photos. 📸

### 👟 What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes and water are highly recommended.
Alfama has steep streets, steps and traditional cobblestone pavement, so be prepared for a little exercise—but the views are worth it!
