Beyond The Book: Sustainability Discussions (Pt 2)
Details
This event was created by three people exploring sustainability — from science and economics to sociology, philosophy, and even spirituality. We would love to read, learn, exchange ideas, and explore practical actions together.
In other words, this is a space for curiosity, not expertise.
📚 This session
Our second gathering will be inspired by Kate Raworth's Doughnut Economics but the conversation will go far beyond it. This book presents a new economic framework that aims to meet everyone's essential needs while respecting the ecological limits of our planet.
We’ll begin with a short presentation summarizing some of the book’s main themes, and then move into an open discussion.
To support a thoughtful and well-rounded conversation, feel free to bring articles, videos, or other materials related to the topic.
💬 Who is it for?
- Have you already read the book? Please join and share your thoughts.
- Haven’t read it yet? You are still very welcome to join. If possible, we recommend reading at least some parts beforehand.
- No access to the book? Feel free to reach out to the organizers — we’ll be happy to help. Additionally, physical copies of the book can be ordered via the Good Company website: https://goodcompanybooks.com/shop/product/doughnut-economics/55356375171453
🌍 Our intention
We want to create an open, inclusive, and reflective space for conversations about sustainability. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, education, or level of knowledge.
