Beyond The Book: Sustainability Discussions (Pt 3)
Details
This event was created by three people exploring sustainability — from science and economics to sociology, philosophy, and even spirituality. We would love to read, learn, exchange ideas, and explore practical actions together.
In other words, this is a space for curiosity, not expertise.
📚 This session
This month, we will be reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer — a book by a Native American botanist and professor that explores indigenous knowledge as a complementary approach to Western science to offer a richer understanding of our relationship with the natural world.
We’ll begin with a short presentation summarizing some of the book’s main themes, and then move into an open discussion.
To support a thoughtful and well-rounded conversation, feel free to bring articles, videos, or other materials related to the topic.
💬 Who is it for?
- Have you already read the book? Please join and share your thoughts.
- Haven’t read it yet? You are still very welcome to join. If possible, we recommend reading at least some parts beforehand.
- No access to the book? Feel free to reach out to the organizers — we’ll be happy to help. You can do this by using the “Contact the host” button on the event page, under the host details. Additionally, physical copies of the book can be ordered via the Good Company website:

🌍 Our intention
We want to create an open, inclusive, and reflective space for conversations about sustainability. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, education, or level of knowledge.
