Join us at Tayybeh for our very first hands-on Masterclass! Hosted by Chef Ramia, this is not a traditional cooking class inside a hot kitchen. Instead, we are transforming our beautiful, cozy 'sala' (dining room) into a cultural hub where you will learn the delicate art, secrets, and stories behind authentic Syrian Mezze.
At Tayybeh, we believe food is more than sustenance it is a story of resilience, love, and a bridge between cultures right here in Lisbon.
✨ What to Expect: In this 3-hours intimate experience (limited to 12 people to ensure a personal connection), you will learn the techniques to create iconic Middle Eastern dishes with your own hands:

  • The Perfect Hummus: Discover the exact ratios and secret techniques to achieve that flawless, creamy texture you can never get from a supermarket.
  • Smoky Mutabal: Learn the art of preparing roasted eggplant, peeling it, and balancing it with tahini and pomegranate.
  • The Art of Yalanji (Stuffed Grape Leaves): Roll up your sleeves! Ramia will teach you the meticulous technique of folding and rolling these delicate, tangy bites.

🍷 The Flow of the Event:

  • Welcome (15 mins): Arrive, get comfortable, and enjoy a refreshing traditional welcome drink while Ramia shares the inspiring story behind the dishes.
  • The Masterclass (1.5 hours): Put on your apron and follow Ramia step-by-step at your own prep station in the sala.
  • The Communal Feast (1.5 hour): The best part! We clear the boards, bring the tables together, and sit as one big family to enjoy the feast we’ve created, accompanied by a glass of Portuguese wine or a warm beverage.
