For our next meeting of the Therapeutic Book Club, we will discuss Carl Jung: Wounded Healer of the Soul by Claire Dunne

From Goodreads: Carl Jung continues to be revered today as a true revolutionary who helped to shape psychology, provided a bridge between Western and Eastern spirituality, and brought into general awareness such fundamental concepts as archetypes, the collective unconscious, and synchronicity. The words of Jung himself and those who shared his work and private life are shared verbatim, connected by Claire Dunne's lively and accessible commentary and by an evocative array of illustrations including photographs of Jung, his associates, and the environments in which he lived and worked, as well as art images both ancient and contemporary that reflect Jung's teachings. This is an essential work of reference as well as a fascinating and entertaining read for everyone interested in psychology, spirituality, and personal development.

The Therapeutic Book Club is aimed at self-discovery and self-reflection by exploring relevant themes and connecting with others in a safe environment. The group decides by vote which book will be read for the next meeting. The books are therapeutic in nature covering themes such as childhood trauma, anxiety, stress management and healthy relationships.

We are an open and non-judgemental group that welcomes a diversity of ideas and perspectives. This is also an inclusive event open to all genders.

Previous books we have read and discussed include Mating in Captivity: Reconciling the Erotic and the Domestic by Esther Perel, and The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness, and Healing in a Toxic Culture by Gabor Maté.

The event will take place at Kube Coworking, upstairs in the Open Hall. You can buy refreshments at the adjoining cafe before the event. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Anita (Niah) Sommers or Kat LeRoy.
