A Creation Out of Control - Exploring the Intersection of AI and Human-ness

Details
Based on the last event, we are hosting a similar event, "A Creation Out of Control" – where we explore where human-ness and artificial intelligence.
We’ll be combining writing and a film discussion again - the theme film is Poor Things. It should be in the cinema for another while given its Oscars hype, so watch it on your own time! You can watch many short clip of the film on You Tube as well.
We will have engaging and exciting discussions and debates. Participants may share stories initially crafted by leveraging the power of AI and the specific prompt below. We will explore and discuss the boundaries of humanity and the fusion of human ingenuity with the cutting-edge capabilities of artificial intelligence.
Event Agenda:
2:00PM - 3:00PM: Networking - Arrive early, order your beverage of choice, and connect with fellow attendees.
3:00PM - 5:00PM: Participant Story Sharing and Discussion - Volunteers will share their stories (using the prompt) crafted with the help of AI and modified by their own creative mind. Witness the diversity of narratives born from the synergy between human storytellers and artificial intelligence.
Some reading material: Here is a good New Yorker article to read about the use of AI for videos and the last ones from the New Yorker and the Verge!!
Principles and Prompt:
-
Prompt: "A creation out of control" - Feel free to interpret this prompt anyway you like: weird or grounded, technological or natural, etc.
-
Principles:
-
It is totally up to you on whether you want to share your created story.
-
You choose from any the publicly available AI platforms to first generate or iterate the story.
-
To help us witness the diversity of outputs, the story should have originated from the Prompt above.
-
It is up to you on whether to or how to modify the AI generated story. We hope you can share some of the creativity you brought into the AI generated story.
-
If you share, please limit to 2 printed pages (double spaced :))
-
If you share, you can ask for the type of feedback you want from the attendees (e.g., share only, supportive comments, other references).
-
You can share your general observations in this creative process and tips and tricks you might have learned along the way. We can discuss this even if you opt to hold on sharing.
Looking forward to seeing you all again!
