Sintra to Azenhas do Mar

• RSVPs Open at 19 on Friday
• This is a NOT circular hike.
• The distance is about 12km with around 250m elevation gain.

Hike from Sintra ending at Azenhas do Mar. Then return to Portela de Sintra by bus or share Ubers.

• There is a direct train (Sintra trains) leaving Lisboa Oriente station at 10:08, it arrives in 10h55. I will wait until I am sure everyone from this train has time to get to The Palace Cafe before departing.
• There is a direct train (Sintra trains) leaving Lisboa Rossio station at 10h01, it arrives in 10h41.
• If you want to come separately by car, there is a free parking lot at Av Dr. Álvaro de Vasconcelos 13, 2710-420 Sintra. It is about 500 meters from the Cafe. There are other free places to park - I can direct you to..
• Length: 12km, expect 250meters of elevation gain: Moderate.

Returning to Portela de Sintra is the 1254, 1247, 1248 buses from Azenhas do Mar, or Uber.

This event is free.

Pack a snack/lunch and at least liter of water, expect to eat near Nafarros, near the halfway point. Last time a lot of us spent over an hour at Azenhas just hanging out.

Whether you already have a place or are still in the waiting list, if you later change your mind about coming, then it is very important that you change your RSVP, so another member can participate instead.

It is not allowed to smoke and to leave any trash during the hike!
