About the event -
Join us at Good Company Books for an intimate evening of live music, where storytelling and melody come together in a cosy bookshop setting. With a glass of wine in hand, settle in and let two incredible local artists transport you with their heartfelt performances. Whether you're here to discover new music, unwind after a long week, or simply enjoy good company, this promises to be a special night.

Event Timings -
7.00pm - Doors open. Grab a drink and say hello before the music starts. Let Jess know when you arrive if you're with MeetUp! :)
7.15pm - The music is due to begin. Find your seat! Two artists will perform with a short interval in between.
9.00pm - The show should be finished, feel free to grab a drink and browse our bookstore.

Tickets -
**Entrance for the concert is €5 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. **Places are limited so we suggest purchasing tickets beforehand. However, if we are not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door.

About The Artists -
Lee Squires is a Lisbon-based songwriter that transforms dry wit into heartfelt folk songs. Born in Essex and now based in Lisbon for many years, Lee's lyrics reflect a background in screenwriting and comedy, blending dry wit with introspection. His solo debut Good Team dropped in early 2025, gaining national radio play and over 10k streams in its first week. Recently, he’s drawn inspiration from Lisbon’s rock and blues scene, adding upbeat rhythms to his live sets. With his first EP on the way, his sound nods to Dylan and modern Americana, while staying rooted in British songwriting and the Portuguese community he now calls home.

Mélys is tinged with indie-folk tones, sometimes even leaning towards rock. Navigating between English and Spanish, her soft, husky voice takes us to those precious moments when the mind wanders and is carried away by melancholy. Her floral folk opens the door to a world where acoustics and electronics merge to make way for other sounds. A musical setting where singer-guitarist-composer Mélys draws her lyrics from the emotions and sensations that the organic world makes her feel.
