Beginning Snowboarders.

Details
Today was pretty good the snow was great. They offer lessons which gets you an instructor and access to a bunny hill that is restricted to students and instructors. The lesson tow rope line is shorter than the main bunny hill.
The earlier mornings are better for this area if you are interested in short tow rope lines on the main bunny hill. I stayed today until 1:00 PM but by that time it was a good 10-15 minute line on the tow rope. The more advanced hill next to the bunny hill never had a line but I didn't feel ready for that hill.
Here are some tips if you decide to attend.
- Wear pants that are water resistant because you will fall and if you get wet you will be cold.
- Helmet is recommended but not necessary. The only reason to wear one on these small hills is protection against getting hit by someones board or skis.
- Bring gloves that can handle the tow ropes. They sell these at the lodge but I think you could use any heavy duty work gloves. In order to get up the hill you need to be pulled by a rope which will destroy normal ski gloves.
- I will post in the group chat on Friday if it will be enough snow on Saturday.
- There really is no commitment for an RSVP to this group. You buy your own entrance into the resort. I will be in the parking lot before 9:45 AM, in a black Chevy Equinox with a hockey glove on the antenna if people want to meet before we go into the lodge to buy rentals and tickets. The RSVP just gives me an idea of the turnout and possibly if we want to take a break together as a group during lunchtime to eat.
