ใน talk นี้ผมจะเน้นให้ผู้ฟังเข้าใจ motivation ของ category theory มากกว่า technical detail ดังนั้นใครจะมาฟังก็ได้ ขอแค่พอรู้จักการเขียนโปรแกรมพื้นฐานและเลข ม.ปลายก็พอแล้ว

Category theory นั้นถึงแม้ว่าจะมีจุดกำเนิดมาจาก algebraic topology แต่มันมีความเกี่ยวข้องอย่างลึกซึ้งกับศาสตร์หลายๆแขนงรวมไปถึง computer science ของเราด้วยซึ่งทำให้เราสามารถดึงแนวคิดของศาสตร์อื่นๆเหล่านั้นมาดัดแปลงแก้ไขใช้แก้ปัญหาของโปรแกรมเมอร์ได้

สำหรับเนื้อหานั้น ผมจะอธิบายแนวพื้นฐานและนิยามที่เกี่ยวกับ category theory และยกตัวอย่าง categories ที่น่าสนใจที่พวกเราโปรแกรมเมอร์คุ้นเคยกันเช่น set, logic, matrix, transition system, Unix pipe, complier, circuit, git workflow รวมไปถึงตัวอย่างอื่นๆในชีวิตประจำวันเช่น สูตรการทำอาหารและ adapter ปลั๊กไฟด้วย

หลังจากนั้นเราจะมาดูตัวอย่าง operators พื้นฐานกันยกตัวอย่างเช่น product ใน category ซึ่งก็คือ Cartesian product ใน set และ "and" operator ใน logic สุดท้ายจะไปจบด้วยการพิสูจน์ทฤษฎีบทง่ายๆ ถ้ามีเวลาพอผมจะให้ผู้ฟังได้ลองทำด้วยครับ
