What we’re about

Have you ever felt a little lonely or bored, in spite of being surrounded by people? Do you spend too much time scrolling on your phone and feeling restless by the end of the week? Do you wish you could meet new people outside of your usual circle?

We’ve all been there. That's why we created Listener's Circle, a warm and welcoming space where you can connect with strangers, listen to their stories with an open mind, and explore different perspectives together.

Founded in 2019, we took a short break during the pandemic but are now back and thriving! We host in-person events at Lahe Lahe, Atta Galatta, and Dialogues Cafe in Bangalore. So far, we’ve hosted 80+ events, each with 25-35 participants, and countless meaningful connections.

Our event formats
We currently host two types of events.

  1. Tell Your Story (TYS)

You can choose to register as a speaker or as a listener. Speakers share a personal story (a life experience, a funny anecdote, a challenge you're facing-scroll down for examples!) for 6-8 minutes. Listeners offer their undivided attention without judgement, interruptions, or unsolicited advice. You walk away feeling heard, connected, and perhaps even inspired!

  1. Coffee and Conversations (C&C)

Join us for a free-flowing conversation around a different topic every week. Everyone gets to chip in with their views or stories on the topic and there’s no rigid format. We go where the wind blows us! The theme will be decided on the spot to keep the surprise and spontaneity alive. Also, your beverage of choice is on us—piping hot filter coffee or a nice cup of chai.

Listener’s Circle is a non-profit, community-driven initiative. The nominal charge of ₹150 covers our venue/hosting costs.

Looking for a meaningful connection or a thought-provoking conversation this weekend? Come experience Listener's Circle for yourself!
