Book Club #2: The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak

Welcome to the second gathering of Lit & Laughs: A Multicultural Book Club!

This month, we’re reading The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak. Some of you may already be familiar with her, from her TED Talk or other books.

As you read, feel free to jot down notes — or don't! — just whatever stands out to you. I'll also send out a list of discussion questions as we get closer to the date.

Please RSVP as soon as you're able, so that I'll have a better sense of how many people plan to join. Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and feel free to come with snacks / drinks if you’d like!

This should be a fun and meaningful opportunity to get back into reading and make new friends, some of whom may share cultural roots or experiences with you!

• Be kind and respectful during discussion, but don't be afraid to disagree thoughtfully
