Book Club #4: The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong

Welcome to the fourth gathering of Lit & Laughs: A Multicultural Book Club!

This month, we’ll be reading The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong. As you read, feel free to jot down notes — or not! — just whatever stands out to you. I’ll also send out a list of discussion questions as we get closer to our meeting date.

Please RSVP when you can so I can get a sense of how many people plan to join. Warm drinks (teas, coffees, and more) and light snacks will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own to share. Don’t forget your favorite mug!

This will be a fun and meaningful opportunity to dive back into reading and connect with new friends!

• Please try to read the book before we meet.
• Be kind and respectful during discussion, but don’t be afraid to disagree thoughtfully.
