Let's Hike at People's State Forest

Details
Let's do a fast +/- 10 mile loop in the People's State Forest in Barkhamsted. There will be a strenuous ascent and rock scramble up to the Chaugham lookouts. We will be rewarded with stunning views of the Farmington River Valley. A much easier walk follows for the rest of the way through lush hardwoods, the Veeder Boulders, across pretty streams and bridges, and alongside picturesque ponds.
Because of the strenuous climb near the beginning of this hike, you need to be experienced and come prepared with hiking boots, plenty of water, and some snacks to keep the energy up.
