Here's the plan:
- We start at the Notch Visitor Center
- We take the Metacomet/Monadnock Trail (white) steeply up Bare Mountain and over the sisters to Mountain Rd. Then we double back.
- We finish where we started.
Please arrive early. We depart promptly at 9AM. Please have plenty of water and a snack. Poles maybe helpful. No one will be sweeping. We will take a short lunch and stops are brief.
Sorry no dogs. Cell service can be spotty.
Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for backpacking, birding, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while hiking. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
