Hike Canaan and Stoneman Mountains
Details
This will be a strenuous trek for experienced hikers and will involve a shuttle. Our route will be about 10 miles with 3000' elevation gain.
We'll meet at the Stoneman Mountain Trailhead and shuttle over to a small lot on Route 44 to start the hike steeply up Canaan Mountain. The route includes very steep sections, ladders, dramatic ledges, a boulder squeeze, and great views. This is a beautiful and remote area.
Bring plenty of water and snacks.
