Epic views, a scramble, a seemingly never-ending climb, and great varied terrain. On the way up Storm King Mountain you get three super features, the first fantastic scramble up Butter Hill, the long and amazing edge walk along the ridge, and the super steep rocky trail up the other mountain. The awesomely fun Butter Hill scramble starts right away leading to almost instantaneous panoramic mountain and water views!

After the strenuous scramble section (no Breakneck Ridge perilous type slopes on this one), the second part of this hike is the long and beautiful narrow ridge walk that treats you to frequent Hudson River and Hudson Valley views on your approach to the peak of Storm King Mountain.

Make sure you bring water and extra layers of clothing for changing weather conditions. If there is snow and ice on the ground then micro spikes are highly recommended.
Event organizers are just responsible for leading the hike, they are not guides. Everyone should be prepared to take care of themselves.

Please download the route on All Trails in case you get separated from the group.
