This group is to attend indie and classic movies that are literally picked at random.
Here's how it works. There is a website called Revival Hub that contains a listing of indie, classic, cult classic, and other not-recently-mainstream movies that are screening around LA. I get the listings for a week or two in the future, and use a computer script to choose one of those movies at random, and I create a Meetup Event for it.
And that's it.
Specifics:
I won't necessarily create an event for first movie picked. For instance, I won't create any events on weekdays before 6 pm or so, or any day in the morning. I may pass on movies for children, movies with disturbing content, etc. So it is random, but it does have a little filtering.
I may once in awhile throw up a non-random movie. It'll be identified as such.
