The first* movie that the random script chose is called City Wide Fever, screening at the Alamo Drafthouse in Downtown LA.

There's parking in the building, and Alamo validates.

A film student investigates the disappearance of a horror director

Sam, a young film student, discovers a USB detailing the life and career of forgotten Italian horror director Saturnino Barresi. As she begins to investigate his mysterious disappearance, Sam finds herself pulled into a violent conspiracy eerily similar to those of the films she adores.

Now, since I'm just getting started at this (sort of) I'm not sure how I want to deal with assigned seating. I figure most movies on these lists aren't going to sell out, so it's academic, just buy a random seat and sit wherever. But Alamo has assigned seats and they take it seriously.

Since I don't care about seating, I decided to get one on the edge and that maximizes the chance of nearby seats being available. We'll see how that goes. I got Row 4, Seat 1.

* The first movie it chose was actually "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". I didn't think that was indie enough for my first movie....
