December online read: 'To the Lighthouse' by Virginia Woolf
Details
Dive into a meaningful online discussion at the Literature & Theology Reading Group's next meetup as we explore Virginia Woolf's work, 'To the Lighthouse.'
This is one of the great works of modernist literature. It describes the experiences of a family: the academic philosopher, Mr Ramsay, his wife, their children and his various young acolytes (including Lily Briscoe and Charles Tansley). In exploring the interaction between personal phenomenal experience and interpersonal relationship, it has been described as a work of secular mysticism by contemporary scholars.
Each session is accompanied by a lecture from Dr Aidan Cottrell-Boyce, exploring its spiritual and theological significance.
Please make sure you have sign up for this session on our online portal.
All are welcome to be a part of this vibrant community dedicated to exploring the intersection of faith and literature!
