Sun & fun on the beach. Thank yous and goodbyes

In the last year, so many good people have given their gifts of time and energy to clean roads, parks, creeks, and woods . You have made the world a little bit cleaner, safer, more beautiful. You have spread hope and joy.

So now it's time to hold an event to THANK YOU for your work, a time to celebrate and have some fun together. This event is open to anyone who has spent any time picking up trash/litter as part of a B-team, Pickup Posse or Litter Legends event.

The location is Raleigh Beach, a huge sand bar on the Neuse river. It's a great place for bathing/swimming/ inner tubing on the river and grilling and relaxing on the shore where you have your choice of sunny or shaded spots to lay your blanket or set up your chair. Be sure to wear a bathing suit so you can cool down in the river (no sharks 🙂)

Feel free to bring partners, spouses, friends, and especially children. Bring your own food and drinks (and maybe a little extra to share).
We'll provide a gas grill for community use.

The access road to the beach is usually locked, requiring a 1/4 mile walk to the beach, but i will arrange to have someone at the entrance, ready to unlock the road to anyone with the password "legends"

This will be a bittersweet event for me, Gus. This will be my last event before moving to Colorado.
