Bison 🦬 Peak via Brookside McCurdy Trail

Details
Southern Utah Rock Formations Atop Colorado Mountains! That’s what I read when I googled this hike. This one is new for me…let’s check it out!
Difficulty: about 13 miles with about 2,600 feet elevation gain.
Hikes are always subject to date/time change or cancellation due to weather, trail conditions or closures, or other unforeseen circumstances. We hike as a group and hike at an average moving pace of about 2.5mph (slower up…faster down). Everyone is expected to wait at all intersections & periodically otherwise so that no one is left behind or hiking on their own for safety purposes. We will break at an appropriate spot & will stop as needed along the way for water, snacks, pictures, etc.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Bison Peak is a prominent 12k-foot mountain with some really unique scenery that we don’t usually see in Colorado. One hiker said: “toward the top, the short final hike north to Bison Peak took me forever because I couldn't help but take a ton of photos. The gorgeous tundra was littered with amazing rock formations, including a particularly cool tower called the Bison Monolith”. See the following hike in Alltrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/bison-peak--2
DOGS: No dogs allowed on this hike.
