HIKE CHANGED TO: South Valley Park NORTH Trailhead to Deer Creek Canyon

DIFFICULTY: about 10 miles with about 1,300 feet elevation gain. This is a self-made trail so distance and elevation gain are estimated.

ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the South Valley Park NORTH Trailhead. The address is 8354 South Valley Road, Littleton, CO 80127. If you use google maps, you can type in “South Valley Park, North Trailhead” for directions.

We wait 5 minutes for late arrivals…but no longer as that is inconsiderate to those arriving timely. So please allow extra time to get to the trailhead.

DOGS ALLOWED IF FOLLOW PARK RULES: Dogs are allowed on leash. Please be sure your dog is well behaved and can handle the length of the walk. Waste must be picked up and deposited into receptacles per Jefferson County Open Space Regulations (https://www.jeffco.us/DocumentCenter/View/8982)

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Water, snacks, layers of clothing, good hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, gloves, hiking poles (if you find them helpful), and anything else you deem essential.
