Virtual Celebration for the Meadowlark Open Space!

Details
As a community, let's celebrate the proposed Meadowlark Open Space.
Our goal is to have Boulder City Council vote Yes to CU North and creation of the Meadowlark Open Space!
By working together as a team we can protect these wetlands and tall grass prairie meadows from impending development including 1,200 condos, sporting fields and parking lots.
The battle will be won or lost in the next two months. It will be great to have your help!
** Join the Online Video Call with Gabby Gibson, a CU Communications student and Sophie, a USC Engineering college student - both are passionate about preserving Colorado wetlands.
-Virtual tour with gorgeous pictures and video. Hear Earl Corey play beautiful Native American flute music as a blessing on the wetlands shore of Lake Meadowlark.
-
This will be an interactive call - you will have a chance to say hello, share and ask questions of the speakers.
-
Also on the call will be Environmental Attorneys from eaDefense - a non-profit law firm that protects Colorado wildlife and habitat.
Attorney Alexa Carreno will share their work in Colorado Springs to defend the Preble's Jumping Mouse against a subdivision that wants to expand into wetlands. Hear about the Endangered Species Act being used to protect the same creatures that live at CU South and the adjacent State Natural area!
We are delighted that Alexa will also be working to achieve legal protection for the proposed Meadowlark Open Space.
-CU Student Gabby G will talk about student efforts to help create the Open Space and provide an exciting update on plans for CU North
- One of Boulder's top environmental lawyers, Mike Chiropolos will provide an update on Boulder City Council efforts to create CU North and protect the Meadowlark Open Space
-Meadowlark Chair of Wilderness Conservation, Ken Beitel will discuss the media and community outreach strategy that is creating a wave of momentum and a couple of simple actions you can take that will help secure the win!
-We'll take 3 minute for everyone on the call to send a letter of thanks to City Council for proposing the CU North land swap that may allow rapid creation of the Meadowlark Open Space and the awesome CU North proposal!
