About us
A group for people who enjoy live music in Oxford, be it Open Mic nights, folk, rock, classical, world, jazz, or anything else.
Meet up, have a drink, go to the gig, and enjoy.
If you enjoy live music and would like to meet others who do too, then this group is for you.
This group will not charge you to join or attend events, but of course, some gigs are ticketed in order to pay the musicians! In this case, none of the ticket money goes to MeetUp or the organiser of this group.
This group is independent and is not affiliated with any business or organisation.

Fanny Lumsden + Band: "Kick Arse Alt-country with a Whole Lot of Heart" // £23
Holywell Music Room, Holywell Street, Oxford OX1 3SA, GBAustralian Fanny Lumsden is an established Alt-Country singer with a full band. They have released several albums, and won the ARIA award for the Best Country Album.
I would personally put their sound into the Americana/Country/Folk category, but have a listen and decide for yourself. You will need to buy your own ticket.

The music will likely start at 19:30 but I recommend arriving 18:45/19:00 in order to get a seat. I will wait outside the venue at 18:45 but will enter at 19:00 - I will write updates on this event on the day (please see the comments section on this event).SEATING & VENUE
The seats won't be allocated, so it's about us turning up early and grabbing a bench if we want to be together/in the same area. The Holywell Music Room is a lovely space and many musicians perform acoustically - i.e. no amplification required.Built in 1748, the Holywell Music Room is said to be the oldest purpose-built music room in Europe, and hence Britain's first concert hall.
MEETING UP
Given that this is a week day, I recommend we meet at the venue. Look out for comments on this event for updates regarding this.
