Live Your Own Adventures hosts a free group run along one of the best stretches of coastline in Orange County.

We'll meet at the base of the Newport Beach Pier next to the Ben Carlson lifeguard statue. At 7:50, Coach Daniel leads a guided warm-up and group introductions. We start running at 8:00.

The route follows the Newport Balboa Bike Trail - paved, flat, and right along the beach - out to the end of the trail and back, about 4.5 miles total. Run your own pace, your own distance. Walk it, run it, do intervals. Coach Daniel runs the route with you, available for questions, pacing advice, or just company along the way.

All levels welcome - whether you're just starting out or logging more miles (longer route options available).

After the run, we head to Baja Sharkeez for their breakfast deal with an hour of unlimited mimosas - the best part of Sunday morning is the people you just ran with, and this is where you really get to meet them.

What to bring:

  • Your preferred hydration (a few water fountains along the path)
  • Sunscreen — minimal shade out there
  • Comfortable shoes and clothes
  • A guest if you want

Parking: There's a paid lot right at the pier (card or ParkMobile app) and free street parking on the surrounding side streets if you get there early enough.

Arrive by 7:45AM to find parking and the group before we get started.
Directions: 5 Freeway → 55 South → follow signs to Newport Beach Pier. Google Maps: "Sharkeez Newport Beach"

Please RSVP if you're coming and add a +1 for any guests. It helps us plan and keeps the group growing.
