Let's watch some stupid birds

If you’re not a big fan of crowded places and loud music, come with me on a Sunday evening to watch birds (academically referred to as birdwatching).

Here’s a detailed schedule of the event:

Important! I’m not a bird guy, just an introvert, but I know plenty about these creatures: they lay eggs, eat bread, and go back to Africa at end of Q3 each fiscal year.

What birds should I expect to see in IOR Park?
Probably crows, ducks… Again, I’m not a bird guy.

Can I make bird noises to attract them?
That’s cultural appropriation and it’s strictly prohibited.

What should I bring with me?
A blanket or a beach towel - we might sit down for a while. Water, to stay hydrated. Military-grade shelter system in case we’re being attacked by the birds.

Can I take pictures of the birds?
Only with their consent, please. Let’s keep this event GDPR compliant!

Can we stop for ice-cream?
Absolutely, it’s the main reason why we meet up in the park. This and watching birds.

Is IOR Park the best place for birdwatching in Bucharest?
No idea. I’ve picked it specifically because it’s close to my home and I save a lot of money on Uber.

What are the main activities during this event?
· Bird bingo – mark off the birds you see, complete the card and win a prize.
· Bird sketching – draw the birds you see or hear and win nothing.
· Poop quiz – guess the bird based on the bird poop we discover during our walk.
