Mindful Hike at Red Rocks: A River and Ridge Journey

🌿🥾 Description: Join us for a 2-mile mindful hike at Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Park in Leesburg with views of the river, shaded forest paths, and an overlook for mindful reflection. The pace of this hike will be unhurried and supportive, with time to connect to nature and ourselves. We'll allow for 2 hours so we can fully enjoy the experience together. This is a dirt trail with exposed tree roots, fallen trees, and a few steep hills to descend and climb.

🌿🥾 What we'll do: We’ll meet in the parking lot, hike down to the river, take in the views at the overlook and spend time in meditation at a quiet spot.

👋🏼 Meeting point and times: Meet at 9:50am in the parking lot, near the historic Well House. We start at 10am. I'll be wearing a bright green backpack. Allow for 2 hours on the trail, returning to the meeting point at 12pm.

🎒PREPARATION:

• Water
• Layers of clothes based on the weather
• A snack if you would like
• Sturdy shoes - It may be muddy with roots and rocks along the wooded trails. An extra pair of shoes to change into after the hike.
• Something to sit on like a yoga mat or a cloth or pad
• Tick & bug spray
• Sunblock & a hat
