Benefit concert to save Riggers Loft!

Details

For 5 years we've enjoyed Riggers Loft, a part of a R&B Cellar's, a warehouse jutting out into the SF Bay. Great bands, modest cover, tasty wine and food, and in our demographic :-) near ideal. I have many memories of us group dancing to Latin, Zydeco as well as classic R&B, not limited to Jazz. How many jazz music venues have closed or changed during our meetup existence: Yoshi's in the Filmore, 7-Mile House, Presidio Officer's Club, Doc's Lab, Pier 23, Jazz at the Chimes to name a few. Maybe that is the shelf-life of jazz venues but Riggers Loft is too good to disappear.

Press release:
It's a SAVE RIGGERS LOFT fundraising concert!
Six fantastic bands will be lending their superb talents and their generous support for Riggers Loft in an all-day concert....from 1-7pm. Here's the exciting line-up:
1-1:45 - Bob Roden Quintet
2-2:45 - Bryan Girard Quartet
3- 3:45 - Brazilian Project
4-4:45 - Adrian West Trio
5-5:45 - The Elmwoods
6-6:45 - Albany Jazz Big Band
Tickets are $20 and all proceeds go to the Save Riggers Loft fund, raising money to appeal the City's Unlawful Detainer against us.
Come!! Enjoy fantastic live music by 6 incredible bands, wine, cider and delicious food. If the weather is nice, we will be out on the patio.

Meetup is a social organization not an event calendar. If you tend to not socialize, you will be dropped from the group. In general, our members are avid jazz fans, middle age and up, enjoy socializing with food and drink, and we show-up on time. Please have good intentions when you rsvp; 'No-Shows' are no good. If your plans have changed please select Edit RSVP at bottom of page to take yourself off the Attendee List.
