Middle Eastern jazz from Kinan Azmeh CityBand

Details
Hailed as a “virtuoso" by the New York Times and "spellbinding" by the New Yorker magazine, Syrian-born, Brooklyn-based genre-bending clarinetist Kinan Azmeh has been touring the globe to great acclaim as a soloist, composer and improviser. His band, the Kinan Azmeh CityBand, has gained recognition for their virtuosic and high-energy performances, receiving praise from critics and audiences alike. With this ensemble (which also includes guitar, drums, and double bass), Azmeh strives to reach a balance between classical music, jazz, and the music of his Syrian homeland, creating a fusion that is inspired by many traditions without being limited by any of them.
SHOW COST : General Advance ticket prices start at $37, including service fees. ... NOTE: For this show, there are also premium tickets for the center-front seating area, but those are 20 bucks costlier. Thanks to the Freight's layout and acoustics, there really are no bad seats there, so I'm opting for a cheaper ticket! :)
