FREE afternoon show: Salsa band

Uruguay-born drummer, composer, and vocalist Edgardo Cambon heads up a salsa band of renowned local musicians for what will surely be a high-energy performance, in the latest of this library branch's free indoor jazz showcases. Meetup regulars have enjoyed Edgardo and his band in various indoor and outdoor settings over the years, and we're always ready for more!

EVENT COST: $1.00 donation (payable in cash or via PayPal) to help defray the $180/year that Meetup charges me as head organizer. Otherwise, the show itself is FREE.

WHEN TO MEET: Meet inside the library's Branch Meeting Room by 11:40 a.m. so we can increase our chances of getting seats together. The concert goes from noon to 2:00 p.m. (probably with an intermission).

HOW TO FIND ME: I'm WF, with glasses and short, salt & pepper hair. I'll send my mobile number to RSVPers prior to the event. PLEASE TEXT ME IF YOU DON'T SPOT ME.

TRANSIT: The library is less than a half-mile from the Ashby BART station in South Berkeley. If you're walking from BART, the fastest route is to cut diagonally across the BART parking lot to Martin Luther King Jr. Way (across from Shotgun Players theater).

PARKING: The library does not have a parking lot. Unmetered parking is on the street.

OPTIONAL POST-CONCERT BRUNCH: At a location within easy walking distance of the library and Ashby BART. When RSVPing, indicate if you are interested in the brunch. Preference for that given to Meetup members who don't have a history of flaking on events and to RSVPers who didn't make it on to my brunch list for an upcoming Feb. 14 show. NOTE: I typically cap restaurant headcounts at six people to facilitate logistics - but I'm happy to accommodate additional people for the concert by itself.
