Documentary - Peter Asher: Everywhere Man
Details
Peter Asher’s life has intersected with some of the greatest artists and musical moments of the last six decades. A child actor who became a pop star and then a manager and producer to the likes of James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, he remains a vital creative force to this day. This documentary - which features interviews with Paul McCartney, Carole King, and many more - has been getting good reviews from audiences and critics alike.
SEATING/TICKETS: This screening has ASSIGNED seating. I just bought Seat D-21, which is four rows back from the screen, on the aisle. I'm hoping other Meetup RSVPers can buy adjoining or nearby seats.
Buy your own ticket at the following link:

IMPORTANT: Be sure that you have clicked through to the page showing the screening time of FRIDAY, JULY 3RD at 4:00 p.m. to make your ticket purchase.
COST: Movie tickets start at $11 each. (I also ask for $1.00 donations from attendees at my events, to offset the $180.00 per year that Meetup charges me as head organizer.)
WHEN/WHERE TO MEET: Meet in the theater lobby no later than 3:40 p.m.. so we can get seats together. (The movie starts at 4:00 p.m. and is about two hours long.)
HOW TO FIND ME: I'm WF, about 5 feet tall, with short salt-and-pepper hair, and glasses. I'll send my mobile number to RSVPers before the event. PLEASE TEXT ME IF YOU DON'T SPOT ME.
TRANSIT/LOCATION: The cinema is located in Orinda's theater square, less than a 10-minute walk from the Orinda BART station.
DIECTIONS: If walking from BART, exit the Orinda station on the side where the parking lot is located. Stay to the right as you take the pedestrian path leading along the BART station, and look for the sign pointing you in the direction of the theater square. (After going up the Theater Square exterior stairs to street level, I find it fastest to walk clockwise around the theater square's main building exterior to reach the theater.)
IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTE: Eastbound rush hour traffic in the area can be brutal! If you're coming from points west of Orinda, I highly recommend taking BART for at least the final leg of your trip. (One option would be to park at Rockridge BART and then take BART from there; it's a five-minute BART ride from Rockridge to Orinda.)
OPTIONAL POST-FILM DINNER at Fourth Bore Restaurant, also located in the theater square area.
