Camp Django Presents: Gypsy Jazz Live
Details
This concert celebrates the music and legacy of the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt by presenting some of the most accomplished international stars in the world of jazz manouche (more commonly known as gypsy jazz).
Meetup members have seen most or all four of these musicians in various combinations and settings over the years and likely recall how good they are! The musicians, on guitar and violin, are: Jimmy Grant, Paulus Schäfer, Eva Slongo, and Tim Kliphuis. They will be preceded by an opening set by the Modern Jazz Hot Club.
The concert is about two hours long, with a brief intermission after the opening set. Note that this event is on a TUESDAY night.
SEATING is General Admission, except for VIP-priced seating in the first row.
TICKETS: Buy your own tickets. NOTE that you can save money on the ticket prices by teaming up with others to buy 2 or 4 tickets at a time. Prices range from about $25 to $43 per person, depending on whether you buy individually or in groups. Feel free to use the Meetup Event Page to coordinate with others on joint ticket purchases.

WHEN/WHERE TO MEET: Let's aim to meet inside the venue when the doors are scheduled to open, at 6:15 p.m. (about 45 minutes before showtime).
HOW TO FIND ME: I'm WF, about 5 feet tall, with short, salt-&-pepper hair and glasses. (See my pic with my Meetup profile.) I'll send my phone number to RSVPers before the show, and will post a Comment on the Meetup Event Page when I get seated.
