Sefton Coastal ‘Walk Together’
Details
Meet us to walk together from Hightown* to Waterloo, in solidarity with refugees - especially those fleeing the shackles of religious control and persecution - following the Sefton Coastal Path. We'll pause to reflect on Antony Gormley's homage to the emotional turmoil of emigration: sadness at leaving, but the hope of a new future in 'Another Place'.
This event is part of the 'Great Get Together' promoted by the Jo Cox Foundation in conjunction with Refugee Week.
#MoreInCommon
*We will assemble for 11 am at Hightown Merseyrail Station, by the Hightown Hotel car park. For those who would prefer a shorter route, there will be a second meeting point at Crosby Beach RNLI Lifeguard Station for 12:00 noon (nearest Merseyrail Station is Hall Road).
When we have reached Waterloo, we'll gather for refreshments and group bonding (venue TBC) in the South Road area. We do hope you'll join us 😊
