Hilbre Island Walk
Details
The Hilbre Island Walk is a tidal walk across the Dee Estuary sands from West Kirby to three islands, taking about an hour each way. The islands are cut off by the water for several hours each day. With panoramic views across the River Dee estuary to the North Wales and Wirral coastlines. There is a colony of grey seals which can be seen across the estuary.
After, we can visit the local Fish & Chips or The Dee Hotel for a drink or bite to eat.
Wear warm, waterproof clothing and practical footwear for traversing wet sand and rocks.
Will meet at West Kirby train station for a 12 noon start.
