Spooktacular Sunday

As the Witching Hour creeps closer, we summon you to Sugar & Dice cafe for spooky cards and board games.

A fellow player’s wish for Halloween fancy dress has been granted. Come as a ghost, ghoul or just wear a hat. Costumes and/or props are highly encouraged to call upon the spooky vibes. But there’s no pressure or mandate to dress up.

In honour of the season, I’ve begun thinking about games with an extra Halloween flavour. Think a haunted house, zombies, mystical murder…. 🔮

If this is your first time to the cafe or our meet-up event, here’s some info about what to expect.

The cafe offers a large number of games for us to play and you can order food and drinks if you wish (vegan options available). Please note that the cafe charges a cover charge of £2.50 per hour per person for use of their games. (This is paid at the end of your session so don't forget to pay before leaving!)

We usually start by playing as one big group whilst everyone arrives and to start getting to know each other. After that, we might split across two or three smaller groups for some longer games or different board/card games. Or if everyone is up for it, we continue playing as one big group.

We understand that social events can be a bit nerve-wracking. Our event host will be there to warmly welcome everyone, teach games (if needed) and enable fun, relaxed and inclusive vibes. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the event host.
