Who’s bored of dating apps and ready to take things back old school?
We think it’s about time too. Remember that feeling of locking eyes across the bar with a stranger you fancy? That moment when you would finally get chatting? Getting to know them face-to-face rather than over an app?

So delete your dating apps, bring your friends (or rock up solo - SO many people do this, so don't feel nervous), and let's make dating human again...

What to expect:

- A 'Dutch Courage' Card to do with someone you've just met in the room. This is totally optional, so don't worry if this isn't your thing

- Live music - we'll be hosting the finest local talent in Liverpool to welcome you into this safe space

- In our opinion, one of the best DJs in Liverpool, so dancing is on the cards for anyone who's up for it

- A room where everyone is single. That's one of the only rules we have - you must be single to enter in. This is our singles club. A space free of couples, families, kids etc, a place just for us to let our hair down and be with like-minded people

As long as you're over 18, EVERYONE IS WELCOME, whatever your sexuality or gender. We will have (optional) stickers on the night to write down what you're into and looking for.

Note: This is not speed dating. This is a mixer and we want it to feel like a typical night out - only, everyone in the room is single. We cannot control on the night the level of ratios (men to women, women to women, men to men etc), so please do bear this in mind when booking a ticket. We do however try very hard to get a great, wide mix of ages, genders and sexualities, as we want everyone to have a fantastic night.

We’re hosting a gathering at Liverpool’s most beloved coffee + wine shop, Ropes & Twines.

Ropes & Twines has always been about community. It’s the place where you can come alone with a book or a coffee and somehow end up deep in conversation with the person next to you. It’s warm and unpretentious, and exactly how meeting people should feel.
This night is for people who are done with profiles, prompts and algorithms and just want to meet good people IRL, in a space that makes that feel easy.
Come with single friends or come solo (95% of people do!).
No awkward icebreakers. No weird vibes. No forced small talk.
Just a room full of single people, in a place that’s brilliant at turning strangers into familiar faces.

• Big community energy, with our hosts acting as your professional wingwomen & wingmen if you need them, there to welcome you in and make introductions

This isn’t speed dating. It’s just a really special bar, where everyone happens to be single.
