Hello everyone,
We've now set the date for the first Liverpool Magento Group meet-up. It will be at 6pm Thursday 17th September at the Ship and Mitre in the city centre.
The first meet-up is sponsored by Session Digital and we'll have free food & beer/wine for everyone coming along.
The first meet-up will consist of two talks around Magento 2 - one technical and one non-technical talk.
Talk 1 - Non Tech: Magento 2 - Paal Soberg
During this talk I will give an overview of Magento and Magento 2. I'll provide an overview of what has changed, and at a high level what you can expect from Magento 2 from a Merchant & Admin user point of view.
Talk 2 - Technical: Magento 2 - James Cowie
During this talk I will introduce and highlight the new and updated ways to work with Magento 2, This covers how we now install Magento 2 using new tools to Magento developers such as composer, As well as how Interceptors work, What is Dependency Injection and what the future of Magento 2 development will be like
