What we’re about

LIVING LIBERALLY DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO

Spanning the county, Living Liberally Douglas County has two Drinking Liberally groups in Castle Rock & Parker. They all meet on an every-other-week cycle.

WHEN WE MEET

In 2025, this is the normal event rhythm.

• Drinking Liberally Castle Rock meets on 2nd & 4th Thursdays 5-7 PM @ Fuzzy's Tacos.
• Drinking Liberally Parker meets on 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 5-7 PM @ Takoda Tavern.

In 2026, these will flip the weeks they meet on.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Events run 5-7 PM on Thursdays, but people often linger later. Feel free to come or go as needed.

We aim to meet in private areas of a restaurant that also has bars, if possible. Some people just treat it like a happy hour, others eat whatever works for you! It's not a hard-drinking crowd, so you'll absolutely fit in if you're not interested in alcohol.

Depending on the event location and week, we typically have 25 to 45 people participating. Typically, about a quarter of the people attending are there for the first time.

About 45 minutes in, we do a welcome, provide some info about the group, point to some activism opportunities or groups to get involved with, and offer a toast based on recent news. Sometimes when we have candidates come, the time is extended to allow them to speak to the whole group.

HOW TO CONNECT

You can find our page on Facebook, but Meetup will remain our primary hub for scheduling events and  RSVPs.

OUR FUTURE PLANS

We're actively working on finding the right leaders and expanding to the two remaining sizable downs in the county: Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree.

Come find and enjoy your tribe! As we like to say, "We fight better when we're friends!"
