Winter Festive Walks - Downtown Vancouver

Details

This event is a series of walks led by Living Streets (BEST).
The goal of this program is to promote walking during the winter months. The focus is on how Active Transportation connects communities. We will focus on walking at darker hours of the day enjoying the seasonal lights.

The end of the year schedules multiple celebrations for people of all backgrounds. Active Transportation and, in particular, the walkability surge in recent months is a safe way to connect with neighbours at a local and regional level.

We would like you to be aware that the event will be during dark hours. The activity will happen independently of the weather, please dress accordingly.

We will be walking for 30 min to 1 hour. Please wear shoes that are appropriate for you. The walking pace will be comfortable for enjoying the surroundings. This is not a workout walk and shouldn't be extenuating for participants.

We will be offering a hot drink at the end of the walk. You can bring your own reusable cup/mug if you wish.

SCHEDULE
This route is set in Downtown Vancouver. This is one of our oldest commercial streets and buildings.
We’ll slow down the pace there to enjoy the stone road, winter lights decoration, and of course, pause for pictures taking with our landmarks - Gastown Steam Clock or any other beautiful points you wish.
After that, we will join the annual Christmas at Canada Place.
All the decorations, light sculptures, and festive Avenue of Trees will definitely bring you a nice evening.
