Sakura - Trout Lake

Sakura is an event part of 4 Seasons Walks, a series of walks led by Living Streets (BEST).

The goal of this program is to promote walking all year round and moving without relying on driving. The focus is on how Active Transportation connects communities. The way this season is planned is for enjoying spring colours.

SCHEDULE
5:00 pm - The meeting point will be outside Nanaimo Skytrain Station. We will initiate our activity with an introduction of the participants and a presentation on what to expect. Participants will fill out an anonymous 2 question survey.

• The group will travel together
• We want participants to talk among them about walking and how that makes them connected

5:30 pm: Walk towards Commercial-Broadway Station passing by Trout Lake. The walk will take between 45-70 minutes to complete with time to stop to take pictures.

The terrain is mostly flat with parts where it might be heavy vehicular traffic. There are benches and public washrooms along the route.
