Remembering the Village - Weekend Family Gathering

Details
Remembering the Village is a family friendly gathering rooted in the exploration of how we are in one another's company.
It stems from the values of regeneration, land-based skills, healing and right relationship. We aim to create a space that honours all beings—human and non-human, seen and unseen. We want to co-create a space that kids, youth, adults and elders look forward to returning to — all while celebrating the land we walk upon, the food that nourishes us, the skills that sustain us, the songs that move us and the dreams that guide us.

Well, we make no promise of changing your life; however that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible! That’ll be up to you…
This two night, three day gathering is an outdoor camping experience. This means that although there will be tents of numerous sizes for workshops, you are required to bring any additional resources you need to meet your needs.
This includes: tent for sleeping, all amenities, shade structure, chairs, umbrella’s, kitchen ware,
If you’ve ever gone camping - think that, but with workshops.
There are Multiple Workshop Presenters, including:
Caroline Stewart - Village Keeper, The Listening Body
Michelle Christine- Village Keeper, Radical Hospitality
Jeri Tourand- Next Level Love; Conscious Awakening & Divine Union
Marcus Fung- Rhythm Cradle
Tad Hargrave- Culture and Storytelling
Orest Zwozdesky - Ancestral Healing
Astarte Sellars - Dance of Universal Peace
Nathalie Jackson- Craft your Herbal first-aid kit
Danny Cole- Live music, sacred theatre
...and many more!
Your donation does not include meals. This means, you are responsible for bringing the appropriate amount of nourishing food that you and your family need.
On the Saturday night our Village will participate in a Grand Feast! This means all Villagers will be asked to bring one dish for sharing! This will require some coordination - are you up for it? (I know we are!) Stay tuned for more information.
Please note, because we are in the forest, there is no potable drinking water. So please bring water.
Still here? GREAT! Don’t be discouraged. This gathering is built on the foundation of collectively supporting our neighbours to ensure all needs are met. This is different than being provided for, it means we work together…. and so, let us be in the practice of this.
What the heck does that mean?
It means closer to the date, we will provide opportunity for those attending to connect with one another and perhaps you decide to: build a shared kitchen, create a meal share or ride share.
Let’s say this whole thing is a Dream, each of us a character.
How will it go?
That’s up to us to decide together….. May the Dream of the Village unfold.
Through Sacred Reciprocity: A Pledge-Based Gathering
"The Village space is incredible - I can't express how fortunate and blessed I feel for the way my children were honoured. The experience they were gifted to be present in that space and how impactful it was to for me to be there as a father - I have never had that experience of Villaging before. "
