Behind the Debug Button, with Boundless Supervisor
Details
When you debug an embedded system, you connect a debug probe to your computer and a microcontroller, then press a button to start debugging. But what actually happens between those two ends?
Join the Ljubljana Embedded Meetup on November 5th at 18:00 at Visionect (Tržaška cesta 118, Ljubljana, 3rd floor). This time Gašper Tomažič will take us on a deep dive into the tools embedded developers use every day but rarely stop to think about.
In this talk, we'll follow the entire debugging chain, layer by layer. We'll uncover what happens under the hood and how the different pieces work together to turn a debugging request on your computer into actions on a microcontroller.
Once we understand how this infrastructure works, we'll introduce Boundless Supervisor, an open-source project that builds on these capabilities to simplify development, from debugging and programming to remotely monitoring devices over a network. We'll show how it fits into a real development workflow and how its first users rely on it in their daily work.
The meetup is open to the public and will be held in Slovene. The talk will be followed by a discussion and socialising with snacks and drinks.
