Ljubljana… let’s do something a little different.
We’re joining one of the most iconic Slovenian traditions:
👉 Pohod ob žici (Walk Around the Wire) — a historic trail marking the time when Ljubljana was surrounded by barbed wire during WWII.
Every year, 45,000+ people take part.
This year, we go together — as an international crew 🌍
🌲 THE PLAN
We’ll take one of the most beautiful sections of the trail:
👉 Start at KT-5: Polje checkpoint
👉 Walk through the scenic Golovec forest
👉 Finish at KT-8: Livada
🥾 ROUTE DETAILS
Distance (one way): ~10 km
Time: ~2.5 hours
Difficulty: Easy / relaxed pace
🍻 AFTER THE WALK
We continue together to the city center for:
👉 drinks
👉 lunch
👉 good conversations
🔁 WHAT ABOUT THE WAY BACK?
You’ve got options:
👉 Walk back together through Golovec (another ~10 km)
👉 Continue the full trail if you’re hardcore
👉 Take a bus or taxi if you’re done
